West Anatolia (Turkey), approx. 238 x 142 cm, 17th/18th century, polychrome silk embroidery on finest beige linen in filet or darning stitch technique, the piece probably originates from the palace workshop and was once used as a bedspread, complete all around, several large areas of loss have been perfectly restored and lined with similar coloured linen, also entirely backed with linen cloth, stained.
