Southwest Caucasus, made circa 1870. approx. 191 x 143 cm, "fleshy" Lori Pambak in triple medallion form, the excellent wool and colour quality speak for its old age, some moth damage - otherwise consistent deep pile, the left corners are restored, all around complete and original, brown with slight corrosion, a primitive collectors’ carpet which, of this class, is only rarely found in auctions.
