We are grateful to Dr. Amedeo Morandotti for confirming the authenticity of these paintings by Abraham Brueghel. Abraham Brueghel numbered among the most renowned still-life painters of the second half of the 17th century. He knew how to depict the new Baroque taste of the generation to come. Because of their dimensions and the great wealth of detail, the two present compositions number among the artist’s masterpieces - a genuine triumph of Baroque colour and light.
