Rare Baroque cabinet,
Elsass, last third of the 17th century, divisible spruce cabinet partly veneered in maple, ash and walnut and decorated with marquetry in the form of fabulous creatures such as unicorns and dragons, dated 1671, with lavishly carved applications in the form of angels’ heads and grotesques, with fluted columns at the angles and fluted pilasters, two doors, original lock and later key, 190 x 183 x 69 cm, cared-for condition.
