Interesting and especially rare late Baroque chest of drawers,
18th century, softwood chest with sweeping front, with three drawers and bun feet, veneered in various precious wood such as plum, walnut, cherry and cross-grained wood and decorated with marquetry panels, the cross-grained wood being perhaps plum or yew, which is applied in geometric patterns and, as can be seen on the top, with bow motifs (using yew) to a high standard, the cabinet maker having continued certain veneer patterning also on the sides and the drawer fronts, 88 x 125 x 60 cm, some ageing and wear, also a crack on the top, mounts replaced.
