“Tabernacle” writing desk, a trois corps,
Original 18th century elements with traces of alterations and heavy restoration having taken place in the 19th century, with walnut veneer and marquetry panels in burl poplar and maple, the lower section with three drawers, the writing section with a fall front and two external drawers, the upper section with a central door and ten drawers, 195 x 132 x 60 cm, some heavy ageing, parts of the veneer loose or missing.
