Southwest Anatolia (Turkey), approx. 269 x 152 cm, circa 1800, this village carpet is in an excellent state of preservation despite its advanced age and is one of the most important pieces in this auction, brilliant colour and wool quality with partly preserved kilim on both ends and archaic main border, only a few age-related re-woven areas, primarily in the strongly oxidized brown.
