Gallé, Nancy, c. 1896, the mount manufactured by Breidenstein & Renaud, Frankfurt, the clear glass overlaid in bluish green and decorated with acid etched and polished berries and linear ornament, the latter enhanced with gold painted decoration, ovoid body, smooth silver mount, the cover embellished with raised bunches of grapes, with carved signature Gallé Nancy towards the bottom, the mount hallmarked with crescent moon and crown mark, maker’s mark and Austrian import mark from before 1902, standard 800, height 15.2 cm, (B).
