“Podium Vases, black”,

The PODIUM Collection is based on observations relating to the common presentation of art and design in a gallery or museum environment. Objects are mostly exhibited on pedestals whose plain forms and carefully chosen dimensions are meant to augment an object’s effect. This iconic form of presentation inspired Le Moigne to create a basic form characteristic of all of the objects in the PODIUM Collection: object and base are always connected – they form a unity. The three different shapes of the pottered PODIUM vases follow a clear mathematical principle and share the same origin. By changing the mass of the base, the size and format of the black enamelled vase shift automatically. The white ceramic base simultaneously functions as a container holding the water for the flowers: the element of the base thus performs a dual function.
