Descriptiondesigned by Gebrüder Thonet for the 1873 Vienna World’s Fair, bent beech rasped in spirals, carved bentwood, fabric covering, height 91.5 cm, width 41.5 cm, depth 51 cm, height of seat 44.5 cm. (DR) A rare version with upholstered seat and back. At the World’s Fair held in Vienna in 1873, Thonet presented a suite comprising a chair, and armchair, and a settee made of spirally stained bentwood.
