Frames

Twice a year at one of the Dorotheum’s special auctions you have the opportunity to acquire picture frames originating from a variety of epochs, from the Renaissance through to historicism. The selection ranges from gilded Spanish Cassetta frames, a splendid Louis XIII frame, a Venetian Canaletto frame or a Dutch frame decorated with basket-and-flame strip, through to highlights from the Art Nouveau period, such as designs for picture frames by Dagobert Peche and Josef Hoffmann.

Since our expert is absent there will be no frame auctions at the present time.
