Auctions at the Vienna Dorotheum include rare works made by English, French and Viennese clockmakers. Particular recent highlights include the auctioning of a Vienna bronze clock from 1813 in top condition, signed Brändl in Vienna. This immaculate piece, born by two kneeling Atlases, went for 39,000 euros. A telephone bidder paid almost 110,000 euros for a top quality and internationally important Rococo singing bird automaton during an antiquities auction at the Dorotheum in Vienna. These curiosities were chiefly manufactured in France and Switzerland.
