Descriptionbust of a child, porcelain, daughter of the Grand Dauphin, Louis of France, Duc de Bourbon 1729-1765, from his 2nd marriage to Maria Josepha of Saxe-Poland 1731-1767, the Princess, who is around three years old, is wearing a white bonnet with ribbons tied below her chin on her short white, powdered, curly hair, a white shirt with ruched neckline, black bodice with gilt scallop edges, verso light turquoise with light purple flowers, draped light purple shoulder cloth with purple flower, and floral bouquet to the neckline, base with gilt-accented rocailles, height 23 cm, flowers chipped, Meißen, blue crossed swords mark on an unglazed base, 1st half of 19th cent., model no. 2744, painter no. 15, model by J. J. Kändler circa 1753 (Ru)
