The Dorotheum’s headquarters are located in the Dorotheum Palace or Palais Dorotheum, in the centre of Austria’s culture- and art-minded capital Vienna, right in the heart of Europe. The magnificent palace is a prominent meeting place for art collectors from all over the world and a major platform for the Austrian art market.
Auctions
The highlights of the auction year are the four big auction weeks, with outstanding sales ranging from Old Masters to contemporary art.
Apart from that, special auctions are devoted to traditional and new collectibles, such as stamps, books, coins, or international design. Our auctions are accompanied by about 100 catalogues yearly.

Almost every weekday you have the opportunity of attending an auction at the Palais Dorotheum.
The daily, uncatalogued auctions offer a broad selection of beautiful items, from Biedermeier chairs to Art Nouveau bracelets to designers’ glass.
Dorotheum Jeweller
Visit Austria’s largest jewellery store. On a floor space of more than 420 m2, we offer you a vast range of jewellery directly in the Palace. The rich selection comprises looks following the latest fashion trends, as well as classic gold, silver, and pearl jewellery. The offer of wristwatches includes well-known watch and fashion labels, as well as the Dorotheum’s own label DoroChron.
Dorotheum Gallery
The Dorotheum is also Vienna’s largest antique store. You can choose from a huge selection of pictures, furniture, rugs, silver, porcelain, and glass from all stylistic periods, offered at fixed prices. Our “Glashof” Gallery and the Art and Design Gallery on the second floor concentrate on 20th-century art, from Art Nouveau up to the present.
Sale of Collectibles
In the shop area on the mezzanine there is a display of coins, stamps, and medals you can acquire at fixed prices.
