DescriptionEine volkstümliche Figur einer Göttin - wohl die Göttin Lakshmi darstellend, die Gemahlin des Gottes Vishnu. Mit Schmuck, aufwändiger Frisur mit langem Zopf und Bekleidung. Aus Gelbguss (Messing-Bronze) in 'verlorener Form' gegossen. Die rechte Hand ist abgebrochen (ein sehr alter Bruch). Eine indische VolksPlastik mit eindrucksvoller Patina aus der langen Zeit ihrer Verehrung. Mit deutlichen Resten von alter, roter Opferpaste. 18./19. Jh. H: 18 cm. (ME)
