With its Brussels representative, located in the town’s district of antiques dealers, the Vienna Dorotheum has been attending to its Belgian, Dutch, and French customers for more than ten years. Competent advice on the buying and selling of high-value works of art (consultation days), shipping organisation, catalogue orders, and assistance with bidding at the Dorotheum’s auctions are only a few of the many services offered by our representative office.
Consultation Days
Best service: At regular intervals, the specialists of the Vienna Dorotheum will assess works of art and collectibles in regard to their suitability as consignments for auction. It goes without saying that this service is free of charge and involves no obligation. There is the opportunity to immediately consign items for the international auctions to be held in Vienna. Larger objects and collections can also be viewed by our specialists in situ.
Viewing
During our consultation days, the Brussels Dorotheum turns into a temporary museum, displaying the best and most interesting works of art and art objects that will then be sold at the International Auction Weeks in Vienna. Our whole range of departments is presented: contemporary art, Old Masters, glass, porcelain, silver, Art Nouveau, 19th-century paintings and watercolours, historical furniture, and antique jewellery.
