Anything that has to do with selling at auction is handled by the Dorotheum’s Milan branch office for its Italian customers. They are assisted and informed in all matters related to our auctions. The magnificent facilities in the Palazzo Amman near the Milan opera offer a perfect ambience for temporary exhibitions, be it a best-of-selection of the Vienna Dorotheum’s international Old Masters sale, outstanding items from such departments as silver, Art Nouveau, furniture, and contemporary art, or cool examples from the design sale, which is particularly popular in Italy.
Starting in 2007, the Milan Dorotheum has been holding auctions in its local headquarters. Jewellery and special collections that are of interest to the Italian market are put to the hammer at least twice a year.

Focus of the comprehensive service offered by the Dorotheum’s Milan branch is on competent advice on the buying and selling of high-value works of art (consultation days).  At regular intervals, the specialists of the Vienna Dorotheum will assess works of art and collectibles in regard to their suitability as consignments for auction. It goes without saying that this service is free of charge and involves no obligation. There is the opportunity to immediately consign items for the international auctions to be held in Vienna and Milan. Larger objects and collections can also be viewed by our specialists in situ.
