The Dorotheum has an application process involving several stages
Pre-selection based on the application documents
Possible second-round interview or discussion about your area of expertise
How to Apply Successfully
Letter of application:In your letter of application you should indicate why you are interested in our establishment and why you are applying for a particular position. Please include your skills and qualifications that would be relevant to either our company as a whole or the posted position in particular.
Curriculum vitae: So that we can gain a good overall impression, we prefer that you submit your CV in tabular form. It should include personal data (name, date of birth, nationality, marital status/children, and possibly hobbies), an overall view of your education and training, and your previous employment history. We ask that you also include language and IT skills.
Should we not be able to offer you a position, you will receive a letter of refusal within a few weeks. We hope that you will understand that because of the large number of applications, we are not in a position to offer feedback as to the reasons for the rejection.
Should you, however, prove to be an interesting candidate for us, and the possibility exists that a suitable position might become available in the near future, we would gladly keep your application on file for approximately three months.
