Golden Memories - Romy Schneider's charm bracelet was sold at the Vienna Dorotheum for the sensational sum of 29.600 Euro.

A Romy fan, arrived from Germany to participate at this auction in person, finally gained the upper hand in the bidding contest against numerous other bidders in the auction room and on the telephone lines. In the future, the golden memento will grace the private collection of a jewellery manufacturer in Pforzheim. The famous film star's charm bracelet, probably sold at Vienna's Sacher Hotel in 1959 before her departure to Paris, was previously owned by another Romy admirer and only now reappeared in public view at the Dorotheum's jewellery auction. Romy Schneider had made it a condition of the bracelet's sale that it should not be re-sold before her death. The invaluable jewel had been valued at between 2.500 and 3.500 Euro.
