Radically New Concepts - Weisshaar/Kram: Award winning “2008 Designers of the Future“ at the Dorotheum Design Auction on 29th May 2008

Their works not only feature in the upcoming Dorotheum Design Auction, on 29th May 2008, they even provided the cool catalogue cover for this event: Clemens Weisshaar and Reed Kram have been nominated „2008 Designers of the Future“ by the Miami/Basel Design Expo, the most prominent and important global forum for historical and contemporary limited edition design. One of the designer duo's works will be on show at the Design Miami/Basel during the Art Basel art exposition from 3. – 5. June 2008.
At the auction itself, Weisshaar/Kram will present three of their „Breeding Tables“ (design 2003-2005), in different sizes, a clever solution somewhere between media design and technological innovation. Weisshaar, who spent three years working with the design prodigy Konstantin Grcic, and Reed Kram create a new form of integrated product- and process development and as such represent a radically new concept of design. Their approach has already aroused the interest Prada, Rem Kolhaas, as well as companies like Moroso or the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory.
