The Photography Auction, which takes place once a year at the Dorotheum in Vienna, features both contemporary photography and historic images from the early days of photography. Works by the Czech avant-garde, including photographs by Frantisek Drtikol, and by the Viennese Actionists, including Valie Export and Rudolf Schwarzkogler come under the hammer. Works by Andreas Groll, Heinrich Kühn, Rudolf Koppitz, Anton Trcka, Trude Fleischmann, Madame d'Ora, Man Ray, Paul Wolff, Franz Hubmann, Ernst Haas, Mario Giacomelli, Elfriede Mejchar, Jan Saudek and Robert F. Hammerstiel come up for auction. Travel albums are particularly sought after.
