Dorotheum and AIDS LIFE in cooperation with UNAIDS present:
Charity-auction at the AIDS Solidarity Gala

19 May 2012, 5pm
Hofburg Imperial Palace, Ceremonial Hall

The Dorotheum is delighted to perform the charity auction during the AIDS Solidarity Gala, preceding Life Ball 2012, benefitting HIV and AIDS prevention programs.

Items to be auctioned are: a necklace with brilliant diamonds and rubies, designed by Gery Keszler, supported and provided by Kormesser Fine Jewelry, presenting partner of the AIDS Solidarity Gala 2012; a Life Ball MINI designed by Franca Sozzani, editor in chief of the Italian Vogue and UN goodwill ambassador for “Fashion4Development”; a golf tournament with President Bill Clinton in Palm Springs, California to benefit the Clinton Health Access Initiative; a spilled painting by Hermann Nitsch; two VIP tickets to the MTV Europe Music Awards and after party in Frankfurt, to benefit the MTV Staying Alive Foundation; a tour of the McLaren Headquarter in Woking, England, with a test race; as well as three exclusive champagne coolers, designed by Vivienne Westwood, Angela Missoni and Roberto Cavalli, provided and produced by Lobmeyr.

The items will be auctioned live at the AIDS Solidarity Gala on 19 May 2012 at the Hofburg Imperial Palace.

Written bids:
Buying orders that are placed until no later than Friday, 18 May 2012 3pm (CET) online or on the phone will be taken into consideration during the live auction.

Please send an e-mail to Rafael.schwarz@dorotheum.at for inquiries after Friday, 18 May 2012 noon (CET). We will try our best to consider your bids during the auction, however, cannot guarantee that due to organizational reasons.

Phone bids:
In order to particiapate in the auction on the phone, please place your telephone bid online or contact the Dorotheum Client Service.
Phone bids that are placed until no later than Friday, 18 May 2012 noon (CET) on the phone or on our website will be considered during the live auction. Our team will call you during the auction.

The auction is held on behalf and to the accounts of AIDS LIFE. Clearing and settlement is carried out by the Life Ball office.

The prices stipulated in the auction catalogue are estimated prices of each item. No additional fees and surcharges are added, excluding transport and customs.
