Porcelain service of Empress Maria Anna of Austria (1803-1884). Offered here is an extensive porcelain service that once belonged to Empress Maria Anna of Austria, née Princess of Savoy, wife of Kaiser Ferdinand I. This service was a private service of the Empress’s, which was not previously known to the literature. The service was bequeathed to her godson Alfonso, Prince of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Count of Caserta. He then gave it to his daughter Marie Christine on the occasion of her wedding to Archduke Peter Ferdinand of Austria (Cannes 8.11.1900). It then passed by inheritance in the House of Hapsburg.
