18th Cent., depicted standing, atop a grass base, her right leg placed forward, the head slightly turned to sinister, the gaze directed towards the heavens, with her left hand pointing at her heart, the right hand holding a sceptre, the long locks reaching to the shoulder, wearing a belted gown, the outer cloak draped into clinging folds, limewood, the reverse hollowed out, polychromed at a later date, Height: 120 cm, the right hand of the Virgin a later addition, diverse shrinkage cracks, some damage to locks and hem, workmanship of masterly quality by a sculptor from Würzburg circa 1780, (Er)
