Anley, Astrid Zala & Matthieu Paillard), London, 1997, grey lacquered wooden frame, 35-mm film strips from the motion picture “Demolition Man” with Sylvester Stallone that were discarded in the cutting room, height 181.5 cm, width 56.5/180 cm. (DR) JAM targets industries that have by-products, wastes or manufacturing processes they feel they can use. They devote themselves to designing and making things from industrial waste.Thus, 35 mm film is woven into material for a screen (they call it “Three and a Half Minutes”) and small table lamps/Six Seconds, snapped up at the Guggenheim museum shop in SoHo.
