Archduke Charles of Austria, Vienna; by inheritance to his daughter Marie Karoline (1825–1915), married to Archduke Rainer the Younger of Austria (1827–1913)
We are grateful to Dr Roberto Pancheri for confirming the present painting as an autograph work by Johann Baptist Lampi II. Dr Pancheri believes that it is probably based on a lost composition by the artist’s father, Johann Baptist Lampi I.
