Note:
Nove quadrati, 1979, was created for the Milanese gallery Plura, owned by Roberto Airoli. The nine sentences in every single work were coloured by hand, therefore rendering every square unique.
Although the whole work consists of nine squares, they each show individual sentences: these were possibly initial studies of complete sentences, or elements that were later separated.
A project in felt-tip pen, and a very early artist’s proof in watercolour are also part of this edition.
