From the music room of the Sanatorium Purkersdorf. There were two types of armchairs for the music room, one with front covers, and one without. Hoffmann used the same exact model, only with different upholstery, for the Stoneborough flat in Berlin.
Provenance: Acquired from the “Inneren” Mission in the 1970s, which operated this building as a retirement and nursing home. Since then privately owned in Vienna.
