Many elements of the hunt-décor service are kept at the Gatchina- Palace, originally owned by Count Orlof, who had been presented with the palace as well as the Meissen made service by Tsarina Catherine II. Gatchina hosted aristocratic hunting events and the service acted as advertising and calling-card for the estate.
