Porsche introduced the 356 B in September 1959, after making countless improvements to the mechanics and body. Porsche modified the body extensively once more in August 1961. The B T6 models, as they were then called, anticipated the body of the successor, the 356 C. The B T5 is most easily recognized from the flat, wide front hood and the small rear window. Nowadays, of course, the B T5 is the most sought-after model.

This 356 is a B T5 with a Reutter body and comes from California, United States. It was overhauled some years ago; the motor, a 1600 C machine, was converted to twin carburettors like in the Super 90. The interior was also restored extensively. The headliner and the carpet look new, as do the leather seat covers and door panels. The paint in fresh green also seems older. This is an opportunity for a nice 356 in well-kept condition, TÜV-approved in Germany and classified as a historic automobile. The B T5 offers the charm of the old 356, and with the C engine, it's also fast!
