A “Le Surrepos du docteur Pascaud” chaise longue,

This mechanical chaise longue was an inspiration for Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand when they worked on their idea of creating a continuously adjustable chaise longue, which eventually resulted in their famous “Chaise longue basculante”, made of tubular steel.
