Salon chest of drawers,
France, Transition period ca 1780. Made in solid oak with amaranth and tulipwood veneer and marquetry panels and ornament in various fine woods, with five drawers, the central section salient and "sans traverse", gilt bronze mounts, stamped on the right side "E. AVRIL" and with maker’s mark (Etienne Avril, maître from 1774), with a moulded marble top (Gris St. Anne belge) and one key. 89 x 130 x 60 cm. Professionally restored condition. (MIN)
