A mocha service in original gift box,
porcelain, 15 pieces: 1 mocha pot with cover height 21 cm, 1 sugar bowl with cover height 8 cm, 1 jug height 10.5 cm, 6 mocha cups with 6 saucers diameter 12 cm, the body with gilt rim, the spouts and handles heightened with gold, osier pattern, fine light purple painted scattered flowers and flower branches, apple branch as finial, Ludwigsburg, Germany, underglaze blue mark, c. 1960 (Ru)
The present mocha service was a gift to Archduchess Marie Valerie of Austria (1913-2011) from her direct nephew Carl, Duke of Württemberg (1936-), the current head of the House of Württemberg, on the occasion of her 85th birthday, which was celebrated in Salzburg on 28 June 1998. A grandson inherited the present service from his grandmother as her personal bequest.
