Kesi,
China, c. 100 x 100 cm (incl. frame), 18th century, two-piece silk weave with gold threads, two five-clawed dragons with burning pearl facing each other along with a rich symbolism featuring bats, shells, fish, endless knots and cloud bands, much space is reserved for the lower end with a décor of mountains and waves, the two upper textile borders are a later addition, it is probably impossible to establish whether the present kesi was once the front side of a dragon robe or a hanging, mounted on blue linen with a wooden frame.
