These works by Takis comprise a series of kinetic sculptures consisting of telescopic chromium rods supporting colored lights which flash intermittently. The rods, which can be extended to 7 ft (cm 214 ca.), quiver at the slightest movement giving the flashing lights an added optical dimension. Series 1 has one flash unit which controls a single lamp. Series 2 two flash units controlling two single lamps. Series 3 two flash units controlling one double and one single lamp. Each series can be used on 200/240 or 100/120 volt AC supply, and can be used outside if the base is not on wet ground.
