French salon chest of drawers,
Transition period circa 1770, stamped on the back left support G. Kemp and with maker’s mark (maître from 1764). In oak, with tulipwood and rosewood veneer and marquetry ornament, latticework and vase motif in various fine woods, solid and elegantly shaped walnut legs, 2 drawers with salient central section, gilt bronze mounts and a moulded marble top (Rouge de Flandres). 88.5 x 117 x 56 cm. In fine cared-for and professionally restored condition. (MIN)
