Rome, 2nd half of the 18th century. A richly carved hardwood and softwood table with flowers and masks, later painted brown and with gold-painted elements, a medallion-shaped profile portrait in the centre of the frieze, the legs terminating in hooves, and with a moulded marble top. 86.5 x 137 x 72 cm. The overpainted surface with some losses. Some ageing and wear. (DOC)
