Baroque hall cupboard,
Known as a “Maria Theresien Schrank”, Austria, mid 18th century. In softwood with walnut veneer, demountable by means of the wedge joints, with a removable cornice and plinth, with canted stepped angles, serpentine front with two doors, marquetry panels and bands in further fine woods such as plum, maple and burlwood, with a matte finish, two plinth drawers, 2-bar box lock and brass mounts. Ca. 217x 200 x 77 cm. Wood parts on the cornice replaced in the course of a restoration. In fine, restored condition. (DOC)
