Alexander Bely trained at the school of drawing in Odessa and the Imperial Art Academy in St. Petersburg where he attended the landscape class of Prof. A. Kiselev. He was strongly influenced by Archi Kouinji, and regularly took part in exhibitions of the Kouinji-society (1909-1930).

Происхождение: частное собрание, Вена; приобретено отцом нынешнего владельца в Ленинграде в 1970-е гг.>br>Выпускник Одесской рисовальной школы и Петербургской АХ (класс А. А. Киселева), А. Ф. Белый находился под сильным влиянием искусства А. Куинджи, был участником выставок Общества имени Куинджи (существовало с 1909 по 1930 г.).
