Southwest Persia (Iran), c. 292 x 158 cm, about 1900, three red-ground stepped diamond medallions are arranged along the central axis on a dark blue background with a pattern of human and animal abstractions, unusual spandrels with patterns of vertical stripes, especially remarkable are the aubergine coloured border frames, superb condition with original braided warp threads.
