A figure of a Daoist deity
China, Qing dynasty
Bronze, partially gilded and polychrome-painted. The deity standing on a four-legged base in the robes of an official with a furrowed brow and long beard, in his hands, he holds a sceptre, and the cap on his head, which depicts the sun, moon and a rock surrounded by waves, is held in place with a hat pin. Damaged. Height: 32.5 cm. (BA)
