In 1991 Toni Cordero designed a series of chairs varying a basic theme: “A chair that is both genre and sub-genre and can thus be modulated in a multitude of variants without abandoning the basic idea” (Toni Cordero).
Using the basic elements of the curved aluminium stand and the bent backrest, he employed different details and materials to create various models, each of each was only realised once.

REGGENZA
A chair that one finds within himself, as if after drinking in the river of forgetfulness. A chair that is both genus and species and can, therefore, modulate throughout a number of versions without ever betraying the primary idea. The carrying structure of the seat consists of die-cast aluminium, whereas the structure of the backrest is made of laminated mahogany, which a ribbon renders bizarre and uncanny. The upholstery consists of velveteen and rush.
