Northwest Persia (Iran), c. 185 x 126 cm, beginning of the 19th century, cotton wefts with c. 560,000 kts/sqm, important carpet from Azerbaijan with elliptic central field and eight-scalloped medallion, the neatly drawn main border as well as the structure on the back indicate old age, in excellent condition with a repaired area in the upper right corner, the present collector’s piece should be used with care, both long sides and upper end (with rings for hanging) are secured with silk on the back.
