Made in oak with tulipwood and rosewood veneer, decorated with marquetry panels, with two doors at the front, one drawer and writing surface, canted angles, a fitted interior, shaped marble top and gilt bronze mounts. Bearing the stamps: J. G. SCHLICHTIG and JME, 140.5 x 96.5 x 39.5 cm. In restored condition, some mounts replaced. (MIN)
