Four Tibetan objects
Tibet, 19th/early 20th century. a) Ga’u (portable shrine), obverse in chased silver, depicting the eight Buddhist auspicious symbols and the three jewels to the apex. To lower centre, a monster mask. Reverse in copper. One nail missing. Height: 14 cm. b) purse, leather with silver and brass fittings set with three turquoises. c) Dish in root wood encased in silver, with cover in embossed silver. Two cracks in the wood. Height: 9.6 cm. d) Rosary with wooden beads, four coral beads, four tassels in silver and one in horn. (BA)
