Cast bronze with remains of lacquer gilding. Shortly after his birth, little Siddharta takes seven steps in all four directions and says, pointing downwards with his right hand and upwards with his left: “I am the only ruler of the heavenly fields and of all that is under the heavens.” This episode is depicted here.
