London 1999, for the Gallery Mourmans, Netherlands, pigmented polyester, reinforced with fiberglass, gel coated, incised signature: Ron Arad London 99 and Ron Arad, height 94.4 cm, width 135 cm, depth 85 cm. (DR)
In form and dimensions, the "New Orleans" chair is identical to the stainless steel "Big Easy". Pigmented resin was added in layers to the fiberglass form. Due to the varying techniques and colors used, individual surface compositions make each "New Orleans" a one of a kind. Handmade by Ron Arad.
Provenance: Klaus Engelhorn collection, Vienna, purchased directly from Ron Arad in 2000.
