Der Stuhl wurde zusammen mit einem Tisch für eine Villa in Abu Dhabi in Auftrag gegeben. Während der Tisch an die Herrscherfamilie von Abu Dhabi ausgeliefert wurde, blieb der "Thron"-Stuhl in der Sammlung von Saporiti und wurde durch ein einfacheres Modell ersetzt.
