Exhibition:Accelerato Torino-Napoli, Artiscope, Brussels, 20.2.-2.3.2004 Provenance: Private Belgian collection Domenico Bianchi first created a work which analysed the materials wax, wood and metal in the 1970’s. The technique he used, painting with wax, was one used by ancient encaustic artists, and also by Jasper Johns. Bianchi’s works incorporate geometric forms which, however, usually have a non-contrasting effect.
