A rare table lamp, Karl Hagenauer,
Vienna, c. 1955, cast iron foot, brass tube, blue anodized aluminium shade, height 51.5 cm. (DR).
A unique piece. Although this lamp is not registered in the Werkstätte Hagenauer Archives (whose holdings have not survived in their entirety), Ronald Hagenauer, Karl Hagenauer’s grandson, assumes that this item is a prototype that was not produced any further.
Provenance: private property Vienna, acquired from Karl Hagenauer in the early 1960s.
